Soup Luncheons
Summary
Whenever there is a fifth Sunday of the month, we have one service only followed by a soup luncheon. Parish members make and donate soup and chili and we ask those who attend to make a donation to a charitable cause.
The David Busby Center is one recipient. We have raised money to ship church supplies to Yellowknife. We have sent medical supplies to Venezuela. Funds to assist with global disasters is another. We recently donated to the Canadian wildfire relief through the PWRDF (Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund which is the national Anglican Church’s emergency assistance agency and receives matching money from the Federal Government.)
