Sandwich Ministry
Summary
All year long on the first, second and third Thursdays of each month, 3 dedicated teams of sandwich makers provide sandwiches and snacks to the Busby Street Centre for distribution from their Community Outreach Van.
Some years back at the Busby Center Gala, a client, who was one of the guest speakers, taught us about “Grandma sandwiches.” A Grandma sandwich is one that is made with love and skill. No skimping on ingredients and having a treat, perhaps a piece of cheese or cookie, tucked into the sandwich bag as well. We try to make “Grandma sandwiches” to remind the one who is hungry that they are loved not only but us but also by Christ Jesus.
