Collecting Coffee Supplies, Toiletries and Eye glasses
Summary
Because St. Paul’s has chosen The Busby Centre to be the major recipient of our outreach (servanthood) efforts we help them provide an on-going need for their clients.
We collect coffee supplies and personal care items. Depending on the time of the year, the Busby Centre uses up to twenty 920 gram containers of coffee per week! Those who drop in often use the Basic Needs Program which supplies: travel size shampoo and conditioner, soap for showers, razors, Chapstick, suntan lotion, socks, feminine hygiene products, underwear, toothpaste and deodorant. We believe cans of coffee and bars of soap can be a way to put our faith into action.
We also collect used eye glasses which make their way to developing countries to be given to those who need them.
